The ASAUK is extending the due date for nominations for the ASAUK Best Thesis Prize to 20 April 2024. This year we shall also allow candidates to self-nominate.

Those who successfully defended or were awarded their degrees between 1 January 2022 and 31 December 2023 are part of a cohort who have had a uniquely challenging PhD experience. In addition, a number of universities are reluctant to hand over examiners’ reports.

For this reason, and for this award cycle, the ASAUK has decided that self-nomination will be appropriate. Please submit a pdf of your thesis (which must have been defended or awarded between 1 January 2022 and 31 December 2023) to the Chair of the Prize Committee, Louisa Egbunike  louisa.egbunike@durham.ac.uk.

Deadline for the submission of nominations will be 20 April 2024.
