Fage & Oliver Shortlist

The ASAUK are pleased to announce the shortlist for this year’s Fage & Oliver Monograph prize.
We would like to thank those that submitted book.
In alphabetical order by author surname, the four shortlisted titles are:
1. Cheikh Anta Babou for his book The Muridiyya on the Move: Islam, Migration, and Place Making – published by Ohio University Press
2. Emily Bridger’s Young Women Against Apartheid. Gender, Youth and South Africa’s Liberation Struggle – published by Boydell & Brewer
3. Sam Fury Childs Daly for A History of the Republic of Biafra. Law, Crime and the Nigerian Civil War – published by Cambridge University Press
4. Lynn M Thomas’s Beneath the Surface. A Transnational History of Skin Lighteners – published by Duke University Press
The winner of the prize will be announced at this year’s ASAUK conference, held at the University of Liverpool – details of which can be found here.
