The Lagos Studies Association Stream at ASAUK24
Posted on 6th August, 2023 in Streams for ASAUK24 Conference

This stream builds on the long-standing professional and collegial relationship between the LSA and the ASAUK. In opening up new terrains in African studies, the LSA and ASAUK have worked together to build a strong future-oriented network of scholars. The LSA is committed to the on-the-ground production of knowledge that builds the capacity of Nigeria- based scholars, especially the up-and-coming generation, to engage in global conversations about the themes affecting the continent.
The panels in our stream pay close attention to the latest development in the social sciences and the humanities. They represent the current efforts of scholars of Nigeria to pioneer new fields and sub-fields by rethinking existing methodologies and devising new ones. The presenters in this stream are encouraged to propose new sources and interpretations, capable of yielding fresh insights on contemporary and historical topics.
